Bark Bright

This project is a Social Network Lighting Device designed to bridge the emotional distance between dogs and their humans. It responds to moments of separation and urban loneliness by using AI-powered sound detection to transform a dog’s vocalisations into real-time light signals. Through this interaction, the device helps maintain a sense of presence and emotional reassurance, even when pet and owner are physically apart.

Light and colour serve as the core of the system’s communication. By translating dog sounds into meaningful colour responses, the device blends AI technology with colour psychology to create a shared emotional language. This lighting behaviour becomes a gentle bridge for understanding and empathy, strengthening the connection between pets and the people who love them.
